From Maryam Island, residents can get to any place in the city or other emirates. The nearest bus stop is a 3 km walk from Crystal Residences. The Al Ittihad Expressway, which connects Dubai to Sharjah, is 5 km away, or about 10 minutes by car. Sharjah Airport is 21 km away and can be reached by car in 25-40 minutes depending on traffic congestion. Dubai Airport is 14.4 km away (20 minutes by car). The famous skyscraper Burj Khalifa is a little farther away - 25 km away. It will take about half an hour to reach it, and there are toll roads.

Crystal Residences will have swimming pools for children and landscape pools (a pool with no visible edge, as if blended into the landscape), a gym and a playground. Residents will be able to use the infrastructure of the island: a large park with jogging paths, sports and children's playgrounds, Arabian market, restaurants and stores. At 5 km by car, or 3 km on foot, is the Victoria School, where children from 3 to 19 years old study. The emphasis is on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), disciplines in the arts and social activities. Medical care is available at several centers nearby, e.g. New Life is 8 minutes away by car and Specialized is 16 minutes away by car.
